Bell and Bell ring in winners at Myrtle Beach Speedway

The W.C. Bell Automotive Family presented the fans with an evening of local NASCAR sanctioned racing Saturday, June 18, 2005. Those in attendance witnessed a complete selection of new Pontiac, GMC and Isuzu Truck products, and some quality pre owned vehicles during the parade of vehicles lap. Tammy Bell provided commentary, and along with Donnie Graham gave the official command to start the engines for the feature main events. Bell and Bell has been a strong supporter of Myrtle Beach Speedway for over two decades, providing pace car and safety vehicles, sponsoring race events, and many local driving talents as well. Mini Stock Series

Heat race winners= Willie Fulford. Shallotte, NC, and Dub Fulford, Shallotte, NC.

Main event winner= Dub Fulford. Defending series champion Dub Fulford scored his third win of

2005. Dub increases point lead by 24 over son Willie, by 42 over

Terry Evans, by 58 over son Adam, and by 76 over Mark Evans.

The top five above in points all operate out of the same shop.

Dub Fulford comments in Bell and Bell Victory Lane=I want to dedicate this win to my Daddy, he is

here tonight, he got me started in this. Thanks to Woodys Game Room, Fullwoods Auto Service and

Towing, and Jacks Motor Parts, and to my boys, they are special, real special. Son Willie, after a runner up finish, came to congratulate his dad, quipping the win was his Fathers Day present.

Street Stock Series

Heat race winner= Mark Hale, Myrtle Beach.

Main event winner= Mark Hale, Myrtle Beach. Mark Hale scored his second win in as many races,

for a career season high third win of 2005. Defending series champion Randall

Roberts runner up finish increases his point lead by 40 over Hale, by 72 over

Tommy Poole, by 82 over former series champion Dean Cumbee, and by 100

over Kent Bellamy.

Mark Hale comments in Bell and Bell Victory Lane= We broke a gear in the rear end earlier today.

My buddy Jimmy loaned me one, my guys all came together to make it work. It was a different gear than I run but it worked, another good night. I want to thank Advance Auto Parts, Tiffany Couch of

Heat race winners= Neil Cox, Loris, and Dal Wright, Conway

Main event winner= Neil Cox, Loris. Neil Cox scored his second win of 2005. Cox increases his point

lead by six over Ron Miller, by 16 over John Brown, by 48 over Tony Powell,

and by 72 over fifth place Sam Scarpelli.

Neil Cox comments in Bell and Bell Victory Lane=Thank God for a safe race, for all He does for me and my crew, Mickey Steele, Buddy Rhodes for this good car he gives me to drive, everybody that helps us. I saw Ron clear Dal behind us, I tried to run hard as I could from then on, he drove me clean and I appreciate that from him and everybody.

Note=John started race for points. Former two time series champion Jeremy McDowell took over during the first caution, restarted in the rear of a 14 car field and brought Browns car home in fourth place.

Auto Outlet Super Truck Series

Bell and Bell Pole Winner= Clay Thomas, Ellerbee, NC. Thomas earned his Brewer Race Team top

starting position with the fastest official lap of 2005= 21.114/91.80MPH.

Thomas leads most poles in the series with four.

Main event winner= Michael Elliott, Mullins. Elliott scored his third win of 2005, and increases his

point lead by 22 over defending four time champion Jimmy Herrington, by 32

over Thomas, by 76 over Barry Andrews and by 114 over Wade Skipper.

Michael Elliott comments in Bell and Bell Victory Lane=I want to dedicate this win to my grandmother, she passed away at 10PM last night, and also dedicate this win to my father, what a

better present than a win to give him. I appreciate Ronnie Howell, he worked all over the truck, an

awesome job. Clay Thomas gave me pressure, I don?t know what happened to him, this is a tough

Series, Jimmy Herrington coached me a lot when I got started, I appreciate that too. My cousin Johnny Cox, Rhiannon, my girlfriend, everyone for their support.

NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model Stock presented by Dodge

Bell and Bell Pole Winner= Jamey Lee, Florence. Lee earned his fourth pole of 2005=

21.898/93.22MPH. Lee has most Late Model Pole Awards in 2005.

Main event winner= Jamey Lee. Lee scored his fifth win of 2005. Former National Champion and

two time MBS Champion Robert Powell leads points by 18 over Greg Hardee,

by 26 over Jamey Lee, by 38 over Gerald Lee, and by 40 over Brent Brinson.

Jamey Lee comments in Bell and Bell Victory Lane= I am exhausted after that one, Robert was really abusing me there, if he would have gotten by he may have won. I appreciate Jon Lane and

his crew for helping tonight, my crew chief had to be out of town, I wish he was here for this. I was

really worried we were beat tonight, we were lucky to hold on after that caution. Woodys Cycle Shop, Stripe It, and L and M Frame and Body Works are all long time supporters, thanks to them.
