Main event winner Willie Fulford, Shallotte, NC. With the victory Willie ties father Dub with three wins each this season. Three time and defending series champion Dub now has a 22 point lead over Willie in the season long battle. Mini Stock cars race again this Saturday. Finish order - 1. Willie Fulford. 2. John captured his career high third win of the season. Andrews captured his second win in three races, a career high in the series. He has four top five and eight top ten finishes of nine races in 2005. First pole of 2005 for this deserving and hard working team. Main event winner Jamey Lee, Florence. Lee captured his sixth win of the season over the largest regular season field of 2005. The win brings Lee to within two points of leader Greg Hardee of Little River in the season long battle, and adds to his already career high single season wins at Myrtle Beach Speedway. Notes=Former two time Charger Champion Jeremy McDowell of Conway, and 13th Annual Holiday Inn 250 winner Frank Deiny, Jr also had entries for this race. McDowell experienced mechanical issues and was unable to compete. Deiny was disqualified after the 75 lap event due to illegal cylinder heads. UPCOMING EVENTS AT MYRTLE BEACH SPEEDWAY July 9, 16, 23 and 30=Short track racing at its best. Pit gates open at 2PM. Grandstands open at 4PM. Open practice/qualifying 4-7PM. Heat races at 730 followed immediately by main events. August 6, 13, 20 and 27=Final full month of Saturday Night Short track racing. All times are as posted above. September 3 and 4= Second Annual Carolina Labor Day 500. Two big days of local and NASCAR Touring action. Schedule to be announced soon. September 10 and 17=Final two regular season races of 2005. Season long point battles will be finalized during these events.
