Experience paid off for each of the five feature main event winners at the historic

Myrtle Beach Speedway on Saturday, July 9. The drivers had a combined win total of

20 of the 50 features run this season leading into this event, now halfway into our 46th

season of operation. The elite group also lead their respective racing divisions with most

wins after adding one more to the totals in some of the most exciting short track racing

anywhere. Action continues this Saturday in all classes. Gates open at 4PM, races at 730.

Mini Stock Series

Heat race winners= Willie Fulford and Ronnie Campbell.

Main event winner= Willie Fulford. Willie captured his fourth win of the season, besting

Ronnie Campbell, Brandon Wells, and 14 other drivers to the line.

defending three time champion Dub Fulford has a 16 point lead

over Willie in a quest for a fourth championship. Willie also wished

a happy birthday to his dad from victory lane while thanking his

family and sponsors.

Street Stock Series

Heat race winner= Former series champion Dean Cumbee.

Main event winner= Randall Roberts. Randall captured his sixth win of the season, over

Dean Cumbee and Michael Jordan. Defending two time champion

Roberts increases his point lead to 44 over Tommy Poole, 62 over

Mark Hale, and by 92 over Cumbee, in his hunt of a fourth champ

ionship. Roberts wished a get well to car owner Paul Denton of Big

Uns Auto Sales, who is home recuperating from surgery, and a big

thank you to the fans who support him.

KartTrax Charger Challenge Series

Heat race winers=Neil Cox and John Brown.

Main event winner= John Brown. JB captured his fourth win of the season, a career best,

over a fast closing Neil Cox , Ron Miller, Thomas Martin and Ed

Ray. John thanked his crew, wife Pam, sponsors and those who

enjoyed his celebration burnout in front of the grandstand crowd.

Neil Cox has a 6 point lead over Ron Miller, 20 over John Brown,

and 88 over Sam Scarpelli. Tony Powell suffered damage last race

thus did not compete, dropping to fifth in the point battle.

Auto Outlet Super Truck Series

Pole winner Barry Andrews, his second in as many weeks. Time= 20.992, fastest official

truck lap of the 2005 season.

Main event winner= Clay Thomas. Clay won his fourth win in ten races, with a rear view

mirror full of Barry Andrews, defending four time champion Jimmy

Herington, Ronnie Daniels, and 12 other top notch drivers a tailgate

or so away. Michael Elliott has a 4 point lead over Jimmy Herrington

and 12 points over Clay Thomas. Thomas thanked everyone from a

devoted crew to his engine people to the people who letter the truck

to those who support him.

NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Late Model Stock presented by Dodge

Pole winner= Jamey Lee, his fifth pole of the season, at 20.706= 93.80 MPH.

Race winner= Jamey Lee. Lee captured his seventh win, a career high at Myrtle Beach,

over 2003 champion Rick Smith, Greg Hardee, and hard charger

Brent Brinson. Lee and wife are expecting a son in November and

will need new trophy shelves along with the baby room at this rate.

Jamey also retakes the point lead by two over Greg Hardee and by 30

over Brent Brinson.
