Results from 4/8/06 UARA event

ALEX YONTZ #55 WINS UARA STARS 150 AT THE BEACH

News 4/9/06 - Sunday's UARA race, originally scheduled for Saturday night was won by Alex Yontz #55. Stuart Ricks in the black #70 lead the most laps but was involved in a late race incident with Robert Elliot #95 as he began to fade through the pack. Second Place was Jason York #18 and third place went to Mark Setzer #48. Rounding out the top five was Rick Smith (4th place) in the TWB motorsports #28 entry and Brandon Ward #98 in 5th. Joey Miller #19 a regular competitor at MBS sat on the pole but was unable to capitalize on his starting position though he ran in the top ten most of the day. 

Charger race Winner - Jonathan Lewis #08 in the Buddy Rhodes Prepared entry. The race got off to a wild start when pole sitter John Brown #29 slide up the racetrack into Dal Wright thus causing fourth place qualifier Kevin Barnhill to end up in the back of Wright's automobile. The three car tangle on the start cleared the path for young Jonathan Lewis who after passing Michael Jordan early in the race claimed his first victory in the #08 charger car.  2) Jackie Ward #8, 3) Michael Jordan #84, 4) Willie Grainger #9, 5) John Brown #29.

Mini-Stock Winner - Ronnie Campbell #99 - Campbell held of the hard charging Fulfords to take the win in the UARA mini-stock race.
