Myrtle Beach Speedway Announces Presenting Sponsor for Horry County Fair
Myrtle Beach, SC (March 8, 2017) – After a tremendously successful inaugural Horry County Fair at Myrtle Beach Speedway, the second edition is shaping up to be bigger and better. A big addition to the 2017 version of the fair is a presenting sponsor. Philanthropist.com, a Myrtle Beach based company, has come on board as the primary supporter of the Fair. The company focuses on recognizing individuals who have dedicated their lives to causes greater than themselves.
Philanthropist.com was incorporated in 1995 to purchase a full power television station (WFXB Channel 43). It was incorporated by Greg Everett, son of Robinson Everett and grandson of Katherine R. Everett. Everett has been involved in several aspects of media over the last 22 years. He is also very active in communities in which he participates. He was awarded the 2007 Citizen of the Year honor from the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. He also received the 2009 Ann DeBock Leadership Award from Leadership Grand Strand.
Everett serves on the Young Life Committee and is a board member of the Horry-Georgetown Technical College Foundation. He is one of three trustees of the Katherine Robinson Everett Charitable Trust. He was born in Durham and received a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Wake Forest in Politics in 1993. He is the proud father of two children, Emma Claire and James.
On Philanthropist.com people can nominate someone they feel gives time, effort and/or money to a cause greater than themselves. There are 200 categories for nomination and people may be nominated in any of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
